Research areas in the Kim Research Group

include design of functional soft organic and hybrid nanomaterials, optoelectronic devices, and architectures for human-adaptive soft optoelectronics. Our research strategy is to combine the advantage of soft semiconductors and interfacial engineering via soft embedding process and introduction of new device architectures, which will enable the realization of high-performance soft nanoelectronic platform, such as wearable display and energy, human adaptive electronic skin, smart textiles, and intelligent bandage. The devices of current interest are organic transistors/circuits, organic/hybrid tactile sensors, CNT fiber strain sensors, and hybrid piezoelectric/thermoelectric devices with self-power
